Clearing it takes seconds and won't sign you out of anything. Here's how.
- Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → select an app → Clear cache.
- Clearing cache is safe — you stay signed in and settings are kept.
- Clearing data resets the app completely, including sign-ins and activation.
- Clear cache when an app misbehaves or storage is low, not as a daily routine.
How to clear cache, step by step
- Press Home and open Settings.
- Select Applications.
- Select Manage Installed Applications.
- Choose the app that's misbehaving.
- Select Force stop, then Clear cache.
- Reopen the app.
